If you’re like me, you dread those days where your hair gets to that ooh too greasy to wear out of the house stage. When the dry shampoo just doesn’t cut it and you’re in a rush so you count on that pulled back bun to get you through the day. That seems to be the case more often than not when i’m traveling and on the go. Which is 90% of the time for me these days.
Well, lucky for me I found Revlon’s Hair Tool’s new Perfect Style Sophist-O-Twist. Its a soft velvet material so its gentle on my extensions which I love. It even works on my thin hair when I don’t have my extensions in. For me its super easy and convenient to just keep in my gym bag so after my workout I can throw my hair up in a bun and get on with my day without looking like an absolute mess with the usual gross sweaty gym hair. Weather you’re running out of the house and just need a quick little up do or you’re going out with the gals for a night on the town its perfect.
Here’s my favorite look I tried out before Oscar Night that you can try recreating yourself with the Sophist-O-Twist. Let me just add that you don’t need to be a hair guru to use this little velvet piece of amazingness. It is super super easy to use! You place the velvet piece 3/4 of the way down you hair, roll it inwards toward your head, roll it to make a circle and then overlap the ends. Pretty easy if you ask me.
If a simple bun is a little too granola for your liking you can always spice your look up with some hair accessories such as crystal barrettes, a thick ribbon, or even the uber trendy three bobby pin look could be added.
I got inspired after my Bora Bora trip to add some headscarves to my bun for a recent shoot…and I’m absolutely obsessed now. Ive been stocking up on scarves in every color to add a little spice to my messy buns.
